When I walked in, I did not know where to genuflect bc I did not see the Tabernacle. It looked like a protestant church; I realize not every priest can be as vibrant and gifted a homilist as Fr. Estok but the homily made no sense and was very dull; the alter servers (girl and boy) were sloppy with flip-flops and sulking faces; the pews were sparsely populated; the alter wasn't anything special or sacred -- certainly did not seem worthy of Christ's presence; it wasn't even decorated with a special cloth or marble! there were no kneelers to show reverence, and I don't remember any kind of decor in the church at all except for an immersion pool at the back.
Nothing about this church or Mass seemed sacred or holy, except for the Communion with both species.
I cannot believe people come here every weekend and rely on this for their spiritual sustenance. How lucky we are at St. Albert's!!
I was embarassed bc there were some adamant "ex-Catholics" there and this didn't do anything to inspire them back to the Faith.
I was truly sad when I left this Mass and am that much more devoted to life at St. Albert's and that much more thankful for Fr. Estok's vision for our parish. lrAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
