As I r...This reflection is so beautiful and true.

As I read it, I could feel myself surrender in the moment at my own control of things and rest instead in God's tender care. That's the first step I seem to always have to remind myself to take in "pursuing God's will in the face of opposition, rejection, suffering, hopelessness...." Any effort to live a holy life without first allowing for God's lead always prove fruitless in the end - I know this from experience and failure. I can have the best intentions, and the holiest of desires - but all of that without "surrender" proves to not be sacrifice enough. God indeed wants all of me - all of us - but it is that point of constant surrender that challenges me.

And so the reminder of prayer is a good one - for there His love awaits and I am encouraged by Him. His mercy is always there and He helps me see things with light and hope. In prayer I am reminded to trust in Him - not in my way but His - because He will always lead me on the path I am to be.Surrender and Trustnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2514529524983639875.post-71378612180842447862016-10-15T09:45:41.890-04:002016-10-15T09:45:41.890-04:00AMEN! well said.AMEN! well said.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
