Get into the ring! How this works...

This is easy! Each week on Thursday I post my homily idea...my main focus for preaching this coming Sunday. What I am hoping for is a reaction from people in the pews. Does my "focus" connect with your daily life, faith, and experience? Or not? Either affirm the direction I am going in (by giving me an example from your life) or challenge me, ask for clarification! Questions are the best! Reaction rather than reflection is what I'm looking for here. Don't be afraid, get in the ring. Ole!

"What are you so happy about"

I am thrilled (read rejoicing) over our return to a renovated church. It is right that we would make this move on Gaudete Sunday (rejoice).  What is the move in your life that has brought you such joy? Yes, true joy comes from the recognition of something ever-new in our lives. Your move!

The Visual Prayer has ended, a " sweet sorrow" stays -- but yet I am overJoyed for those who "see and experience" the Holy Spirit's works...and continue the Visual Prayer in praying.

Spiritual friendship and Love has renewed me with great Joy!!!

Thank You.

Love it, love it, love it!!! Gaudete Sunday & Laetare Sunday are special Sundays for me because with each consecutive season I am growing more and more in JOY! This last year has been a year of poor health, and I've termed it the "dregs of joy".

Think of when you have a first sip of wine, the flavor, the aroma that fills you, the tingling, the different tastes that are sensed as you hold it in your mouth, and you also you feel quite clever with whatever it is you say. :) However, if you have two glasses of wine, the last sip is nothing like the first, although it has all the same features of the first, but we become "numb", we are not atune to the effervescence of that first sip. And so, through this year of poor health, I have learned to accept the "dregs of joy" knowing the heights of joy are simultaneous with the dregs of joy. Blessed be God in all our JOY!!!

The moment of my heart's first touch through my dearest one's heart; living in that moment of deep, undying love.
