Fed or Feeding
Is your sharing in the Eucharist more of your being fed OR is your participation in the Eucharist an act of feeding? I think there's a big difference. Do you?

Get into the ring! How this works...
This is easy! Each week on Thursday I post my homily idea...my main focus for preaching this coming Sunday. What I am hoping for is a reaction from people in the pews. Does my "focus" connect with your daily life, faith, and experience? Or not? Either affirm the direction I am going in (by giving me an example from your life) or challenge me, ask for clarification! Questions are the best! Reaction rather than reflection is what I'm looking for here. Don't be afraid, get in the ring. Ole!

There is a big difference, yes, but I don't see that the difference should be made known as one being "better" than another. I do not think it should be either/or. Really, really hope you're not going that way. I think ideally it should be both/and. And the more we realize we need to be fed, the more we realize we NEED to feed others.
I know a lot of people find communion in the mouth icky, but I see it more as taking Christ in as a lover. Lovers will feed one another, they will take a bite of something and say, aahhh, you have to taste this, you have to try some of this . . . in the same way we turn to others and feed them.
